Cakes for thought is a project led by artist Marja Viitahuhta, where cakes and pastries are designed and made in honor of prominent feminist thinkers. The recipes are inspired by their ideas and work.
In the Cakes for thought workshops we will both bake cakes and discuss the specific theme of each workshop. Fragments and readings from the production of the person who inspired the cake in question will be heard as well. The workshops will open perspectives of feminism in relation to climate politics, gender diversity and intersectionality.
Each workshop is hosted, alongside the artist, by a guest who will talk about the theme of the day based on their own expertise:
= Sweet potato pie & raw cake hybrid, V, G
Guest: Savu Rökman
Inspirer: Qamar-ol-Moluk Vaziri
Guest: Sepideh Rahaa
NOTE! Workshop is in English.
Inspirer: Greta Thunberg
