Hexagons is a game created by the artist collective point and place, exploring landscape, the body and acts of communication. Drawing on an archive of images created over 10 years of collaborative practice, the game is made of 33 paired images, printed on beautifully crafted hexagonal pieces.  An invitation to play and explore, Hexagonscan be played as the traditional memory game ‘Pelmanism’ or used as a starting point for creative interaction and improvised play.

Available as a limited-edition of 300 and packaged in a stylish box, Hexagonsmakes an unusual gift for people who appreciate well-crafted design that is also fun and inspiring for young and old alike. point and placehave showcased Hexagons at the Bow Arts Art Car Boot Sale, Hotel Elephant Xmas Market  and the Fruitmarket Gallery Artist’s Book Fair, Edinburgh.

point and place is a collective of six artists who have worked together since 2002.
Geographically spread and with diverse individual practices, the group has developed strategies of co-operation and cross-fertilisation incorporating play, physical engagement and poetic language as a process to create work.

Hexagonsis the second project by the group point and place; the first being the unique double-bound artists’ bookwork ‘point and place’ which was published in 2007, and awarded The Birgit Skiold Memorial Award at the 2007 London Artists’ Book Fair.  Copies are held in libraries, universities and archives in the UK and abroad, including the Tate Artist’s Book Archive, National Art Library, Yale Centre of British Art and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
